Armie Hammer could be the new Batman in JLA flick??

The Dark Knight Rises marked the end of the cinematic Batman we’ve known and loved for years, and with Christopher Nolan hammering down any rumors of a potential return to the Batman franchise or involvement with Justice League, it’s time for someone else to step into the shadows.
Just over a month ago, rumors rolled in with talk of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment moving ahead with Justice League as their next tentpole DC film after next year’s Man of Steel and that it would serve as the platform to reboot and reintroduce Batman, as opposed to launching another solo film first (for Bats and the rest of the Justice League roster).

MovieHole has the scoop which claims Warner Bros. is very interested (again) in Armie Hammer putting on the cape and cowl as The Dark Knight in Justice League, their own superhero team-up that’ll compete with Marvel Studios’ The Avengers, potentially in the same year as The Avengers 2 (2015).

We will see Armie this summer as the Lone Ranger, costarring with Johnny Depp.  Im not sold at all on Hammer donning the cape and cowl.  Lets hear what you think about this possibility.

New Rocksteady Batman Game, a Prequel..

Ya know, I loved the Arkham games Rocksteady has put out.  Any BatManiac would of course.  Well here is a sweet nugget to slobber over.  Variety reports the sequel to "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City" will be a "new, highly stylized" prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker and that it may explore the founding of The Justice League.
According to Variety, Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment -- eyeing the success that Marvel and Disney had with The Avengers movie this summer -- is looking for ways to bring the DC Comics heroes together. And so the next Batman game is going to be based on DC Comics from an era known as the Silver Age, which spans from the 1950s to the 1970s.  It was during this time that Batman -- along with heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman --  founded the Justice League of America.
Whether the game will actually involve the Justice League is not clear. Variety says only that it has been told that Warner Bros. Interactive "is expected to reteam some of the characters in some form."

I am definitely going to keep my Bat-goggles fixated on this one!  What do you think?

London Batman hands over criminal

LONDON - A mystery man dressed as Batman demonstrated the same crime-fighting skills as the caped crusader when he handed over a suspect wanted for burglary in Britain.

Surveillance footage showed a portly figure wearing an ill-fitting costume including gloves, cape and mask, bringing a 27-year-old man to a police station in Bradford in northern England.
The suspect was arrested and charged with handling stolen goods and fraud-related offences, according to the force. But the costumed crime-fighter disappeared into the night without leaving his name.
"The person who brought the wanted man into the station was dressed in a full Batman outfit," a spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said. "His identity, however, remains unknown."

I think this guy needs to do some serious working out at the gym.  Lol, I look much better in my Batsuit...just sayin.

Welcome BatManiacs!

I am a BatManiac!  Are you?  There seems to be a new Batman Lego movie about to drop on the scene.  Great right?  Well after some detective work, the BatManiac has learned the flick is just a bunch of the recent Lego Batman in game cut scenes all linked together.  I say if they are going to make a Lego Batman movie, do it from the ground up.  If you played the game..why waste cash on the same old crap!   Please, let me know what you all think about this.
